HOPE Squad

What is the HOPE Squad?
The HOPE Squad is comprised of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students who are trained to watch for at-risk students, offer friendship, and identify warning signs. They listen to peers who may be struggling with emotional issues such as depression, anxiety, suicide, and bullying. They do not act as counselors, but refer students in need to a trusted adult. HOPE Squad members become the eyes and ears of the school.
What does the HOPE Squad do?
The HOPE Squad meets on a monthly basis to receive training and plan activities such as HOPE WEEK, school-wide fundraisers, and service events.
